Cape Elizabeth, ME. The Southern Maine Community College women's soccer team lost this afternoon to conference foe UMaine-Machias.  Both teams battled evenly in the first half, and Machias went into halftime up 1-0.  An early second half goal by Machias and a Seawolves goal by Michela Desjardins (Fort Kent, ME) kept the game close at 2-1.  Machias kept the defense busy, firing off 14 shots in the second half. The final two Machias goals occurred within 90 seconds of each other, in the 83^rd and 85^th minute, for the 4-1 final.

The Seawolves move to 5-5 overall and 4-3 in conference play. They hit the road on Monday, October 8 to take on conference foe Central Maine Community College. Game time is slated for 1:00 PM.
