SMCC Overcomes Unity

Unity In today's' YSCC conference matchup SMCC's Michela Desjardins (Fort Kent, ME) came up big scoring the game tying goal at the 61 minute mark and then assisting on two other goals to lead the Lady Seawolves to a 4-1 victory over the Lady Rams of Unity College.

The Lady Rams fired first on the offensive end with a Grace Choppering goal 14 minutes into the second half of play putting Unity up 1-0. Desjardins answered two short minutes later from an assist by Megan Rodrigue (Wales, ME) to knot the score at 1-1. Zyrah Giustra (New Sharon, Me) then chipped in her first of two goals on an assist from Desjardins to put SMCC on top 2-1. Cassondra Dumond (Dixfield, ME) would round out the Lady Seawolves scoring attack, adding one goal assisted by Desjardins.  

With this win the Lady Seawolves improve to overall 2-2-1 and 1-1-0 in conference play. They will return to action Sunday 22nd at the University of Maine – Augusta at 1pm.
