Lady Seawolves Close Night out with Tie

South Portland The Lady Seawolves picked up a crucial tie in tonight's YSCC soccer action against conference rival CMCC as the officials called the game for darkness at the 83:30 mark with the game knotted at 1-1.

The Lady Seawolves dominated play on the offensive end of the field with a 35 to five shot differential, however were only able to net one of those for a goal by Emma Bonneville (Belfast, ME) assisted by Michela Desjardins (Fort Kent, ME) at the 29th minute of play. The Mustangs countered with their own goal three minutes later when Hannah Champagne (Lisbon, NH). The scored remained tied until the officials determined play was no longer safe due to darkness and called the game with 6:30 remaining in regulation.

After tonight's contest the Lady Seawolves move to 3-2-2 overall and 2-1-1 in YSCC conference play while the Lady Mustangs are 1-1-2 overall and 1-1-2 in conference. The Lady Seawolves will return to action on Saturday September 28th at the University of Maine–Machias at 1pm.
