Seawolves Come up Short Against Owls

Presque Isle - After a ninety minute physical battle between the Lady Seawolves and the Lady Owls of the University of Maine - Presque Isle, the Lady Seawolves were overcome by the Lady Owls with a score of 1-0.

The Lady Owls' Nicole Cyr (Madawaska, ME) scored the lone goal of the contest, unassisted, three minutes into the second half of play. SMCC goalkeeper Sydney Proctor (Saco, ME) was able to keep the Lady Owls off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game, making seven saves on the day and UMPI goalie Amanda Larrabee (Jackson, ME) had three saves for the contest. 

With this loss the Lady Seawolves drop to 3-4-3 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play while the Lady Owls improve to 3-6-1 overall. The Lady Seawolves will return to action Wednesday October 9th at Central Maine Community College at 2:30pm.
