Lady Seawolves Drop Conference Quarterfinal in OT

South Portland - In today's YSCC women's quarterfinal soccer action the SMCC Seawolves fell to the Unity Rams after a McKinley Bell (Ann Arbor, MI) goal, her third of the contest, four minutes into the overtime period giving the Lady Rams a 3-2 triumph and advancing them to the YSCC semifinals.

Bell knocked in her first goal for the Lady Rams only 3:41 into regulation but the Lady Seawloles answered less than a minute later when Michela Desjardins (Fort Kent, ME) quickly found the back of the net tying the score at 1-1. Bell would again put Unity on top with a score at the 11:12 mark but once again the Lady Seawolves quickly answered when midfielder Zyrah Giustra (New Sharon, ME) chipped one in at the 11:51 mark. Both teams would remain scoreless until the 96th minute when Bell completed her hat trick performance, knocking in her third goal.

The Lady Seawolves finish their season with an overall record of 5-4-4 and 4-2-2 in YSCC conference play.
