Women's Soccer Season ends with 2-0 Loss to Warren Wilson

Asheville, NC - This morning the women's soccer team played in their final game of the season, a USCAA consolation game against the tournament host Warren Wilson College. Despite losing in the opening round, the Owls were able to protect their home field in today's match, defeating the Lady Seawolves 2-0.

Warren Wilson's Bianca Canizio scored in the 17th minute off a pass from teammate Marisa Romeo. Three short minutes later Romeo notched a goal of her own off a Canizio assist. The Seawolves managed five shots on goal, two by standout midfielder Hannah Fields (Shaleigh, ME), but couldn't get themselves on the scoreboard. The Seawolves were playing without All-American Honorable Mention Zyrah Giustra (New Sharon, ME) who is second on the team in goals scored, due to an injury she sustained in yesterday's contest.

The Seawolves end their season at 10-3-2, the best finish in the history of the women's soccer program.
