Bayhawks Best SeaWolves In Regular Season Finale

FALL RIVER, Mass.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team fell to the Bayhawks of Bristol Community College 2-1 at Britland Park in non-conference action on Monday, Oct. 11.

A slow start for SMCC found the road team trailing 1-0 at the half and 2-0 late in the second. With two minutes remaining in regulation, first-year Mackenzie Farnham (South Portland, Maine) recorded her third goal of the season on a cross delivered by first-year Jordan Boone (Norridgewock, Maine).

SMCC pressed with opportunities that found the keeper's hands but was unable to convert before time expired.

The Lady SeaWolves conclude the regular season at 4-6 overall; Bristol climbs to 5-3 on the season.

YSCC Playoffs

#5 SMCC will travel to #4 Central Maine Community College for a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) play-in game scheduled Monday, Oct. 18. at 7 p.m. The winner will earn a trip to the Final Four in Concord, N.H. the following weekend.
