Concord, N.H – Leah Coulombe's goal for the one-seed Bobcats from Paul Smith's College (8-0-5) in the 131st minute handed the five-seed Seawolves (6-3-4) a loss in the semifinal round of the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) playoff tournament on Saturday, Oct. 29.

First-year goalkeeper Grayson Soldati (Portland, Maine) made five saves for SMCC while sophomore co-captain Ammelia Lunt (West Gardiner, Maine) led the attack with two shots on goal. The Seawolves outshot the Bobcats 14-7 in the overtime loss.

The Bobcats would go on to be crowned YSCC championships with a 1-0 win over NHTI on Sunday, Oct. 30.

Coach's Thoughts:

"We put together a complete performance today, and so did Paul Smith's. I'm extremely proud of the way our ladies battled, we feel like we can stand up to any of our YSCC opponents. This playoff push has been fun to watch, and now I'm hopeful for an opportunity at a national tournament selection!" – Head Coach Ethan Wells.

Seawolves Stars of the Game:
