AUGUSTA, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team shut out the Moose of the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) 3-0 in the team's regular season finale on Sunday, Oct. 15.

The Seawolves went ahead 1-0 in the opening minutes of the game courtesy of Mia Pasciuto's (Littleton, Mass.) 10th cap of the season; SMCC held on to the same advantage going into the break.

Sophomore winger Chanelle McDonough (Gorham, Maine) converted a penalty kick in the early stages of the second half and added another minutes later to seal the team's 7th victory of the season.

The Seawolves finish with the #5 seed in the Yankee Small College Conference standings and will travel to #4 NHTI for a quarterfinal matchup this weekend. Time and date of the game is TBD—be sure to check the schedule page for updates.
