CONCORD, N.H. -- The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 shutout at #4 NHTI in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) quarterfinal round on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The early-goings were controlled by SMCC, but it was NHTI's Nicole Gaedtke who snuck through the defensive line for a breakaway goal in the first half- Adrienne Dorr on the assist. Despite numerous attempts by the Seawolves, they were unable to find the back of the net.

Dorr scored two more goals, both unassisted and one a penalty kick, in the 61st and 73rd minutes, extending NHTI's lead to 3-0. The Seawolves outshot the opposition 21-11 but couldn't convert any of their chances to swing the momentum. NHTI's goalkeeper, Hailey Knight, put on an impressive performance, making 12 saves throughout the game. SMCC's Grayson Soldati (Portland, Maine) tallied six saves.

The victory sends NHTI to the semifinal round to face the hosts and #1-seeded Mustangs of Central Maine Community College.

The Seawolves conclude their season at 7-7-1 overall.
