SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine— First-year Sarah Guimond (East Waterboro, Maine) and sophomore Carter Chabot (Lewiston, Maine) were named SeaWolves of the Week on Monday, April 10.
Guimond, of the Lady SeaWolves’ softball team, picked up two wins in a doubleheader sweep of Massasoit Community College on Saturday, April 8. The right-hander threw 11 of the 12 innings, notching 16 strikeouts in the process. Guimond was masterful in the second game of the double dip allowing just one earned run over three hits. She helped her cause from the plate collecting two hits and three RBI’s in the afternoon.

Chabot, of the baseball team, delivered four hits and three RBI’s in the SeaWolves’ four-game weekend slate against the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and Dean College. The sophomore also connected for the team’s first homerun of the season on an opposite-field solo shot over the left-center field fence against CCRI.
