Captain of the women's basketball team, Esther Palmieri, is making her mark on the court this year. She has started all 7 games and is leading her team in minutes per game with 29.4. A leader on and off the court, Palmieri is leading the Seawolves in assists and has the best field goal percentage of her team who has taken at least 50 shots. The South Portland native plans on going to the Univesity of Southern Maine (USM) for Occupational Therapy after she graduates with her degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Science. Her time at SMCC is special to her in many ways but she is most thankful for the relationship she has made with the other athletes. To her, this team is another family.
