Jordan Boucher: Student-Athlete Spotlight

Written by Bridget Fahey.

BERWICK, Maine— Jordan Boucher is Southern Maine Community College’s (SMCC) female student-athlete spotlight for the month of March, a first-year first baseman and catcher for the SeaWolves softball program.

Jordan began her softball journey at five years-old with t-ball and comments, “I remember asking my mom every year until the age requirement to play on the local softball team.” Softball has always been something Jordan has loved and her dedication to the sport has followed her to the collegiate ranks.

Jordan occupies her spare time working internships for the Maine Mariners and Portland Sea Dogs, local minor league franchises, to go along with her Business Administration/Sport Management degree which she plans to attain next spring. A three-sport athlete and two-year captain at Noble High School, Jordan has managed life as a SMCC student-athlete just fine.

‘Motivated’ is one of the many words to describe Jordan’s time here at the college receiving high honors in her first semester. Jordan’s future goals are to transfer to a four-year school to earn her bachelor’s degree and then move on to get her Master’s of Business Administration.

Come out this spring to root on Jordan and the rest of the SMCC softball team for the home opener vs. Central Maine Community College on Tuesday, Apr. 9. Click HERE to view the season schedule.
