Captain of the men's basketball team, Jose Nouchanthavong, is leading his team on the court this year. He has started all 14 games and is leading his team in minutes played (292) and assists (94). Jose has become and ultimate point guard thinking of others before himself. The Westbrook native plans on going to a four year school after he graduates SMCC with a degree in Business to play basketball. His time at SMCC is special to him in many ways but he enjoys being able to get food before every away game. SMCC is unique to him because this program is a tradition and the team is considered family.
