Defendng USCAA National Champions Prove Too Much For Seawolves

SOUTH PORTLAND, ME – Defending USCAA National Champions and number 3 nationally ranked Briarcliffe College Seahawks shut out the Southern Maine Community College Seawolves (10-16 Overall, 5-5 YSCC) on the day winning 9-0 and 4-0.

In game one of todays double header, sophomore pitcher, Richard Ireland, dominated the Seawolves hitters, allowing just 3 hits. The Seawolves could not overcome their cold hitting or their 6 costly errors.

In game two of the day, Briarcliffe College picked up right where they left off from game one, scoring all 4 runs in the first 2 innings of the game.  The Seawolves bats were again cold all game long as Briarcliffe throws a no hitter while only giving up 5 walks.

Southern Maine Community is on the road tomorrow afternoon to take on YSCC Conference for, New Hampshire Technical Institute, at 12:00pm and 2:00pm
