Seawolves sweep Mustangs

South Portland, ME- The Seawolves (7-12 overall, 3-5 YSCC) bats were too much for the Mustangs in the first game, giving Southern Maine the dominant win over Central Maine, 7-1.

Tyler Kelly went 3 for 4 for the Seawolves, hitting a double and driving in a run to help SM to a victory. Adam Hamilton, Mike Crowley, and Scott Madden all went 2 for 3. Hamilton and Crowley both drove in one run each for SMCC and Madden drove in two runs.

C.J. Giles threw a complete game giving up only one run in the first inning. He recorded four strikeouts and giving up only four hits.  Ryan LaFleur was charged with the loss for the Mustangs.

 

The Seawolves won in dramatic fashion in the second game. Donnie Cray went 1 for 3, getting that one hit in the bottom of the seventh to drive in two runs to give SM the 6-5 victory over CM.

Madden and David Nealley both went 1 for 3 driving in one run each. Ryan Lailer was 1 for 2 with an RBI for the Seawolves.

The Seawolves (8-12 overall, 4-5 YSCC) will be back out on the field on April 10 to round up the weekend with a double header against The Dean Bulldogs for Massachusetts.
