Bridgton Academy defeats SMCC 13 - 3

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team suffered a 13 - 3 loss on Wednesday in a non-conference 7 inning matchup with Bridgton Academy. The Seawolves are now (1-3) against Bridgton Academy, with one game remaining with them on April 26th. With today's loss SMCC also falls to (13-13-1) on the season.

Freshman Wade Tuttle (Richmond, ME) threw four innings and picked up the loss for SMCC, while William Charette (Wenham, MA) picked up the win for Bridgton Academy. Michael Calabrese (Dover, NH) had an impressive day for the Seawolves, reaching base four times on 2 singles and 2 walks, as well as recording an RBI and scoring a run.

The Seawolves, who are still undefeated in conference play, will now prepare for their first conference opponent of the spring, Vermont Tech. They are set to play four games this weekend, including a doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday at SMCC. Saturday's games are scheduled for 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, while Sunday's are scheduled for 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
