Strong Pitching Leads SMCC to Doubleheader Victories

Two SMCC hurlers pitched complete games to guide the Seawolves to wins over NHTI 8-4 and 8-3. In game one, junior Mustafa Jamal (Gorham, ME) dominated the mound for the 8-4 win.  Freshman Mike Vadnais (Biddeford, ME) proved just as difficult for the NHTI Lynx in the 8-3 game two win.  Coaches' reported that sophomore Donnie Cray (Gardiner, ME) came through big at the plate.  NHTI did their best to unravel the Seawolves' focus, but Head Coach Phil Desjardins was pleased with his team's response. He praised the team saying,  "I like the maturity our team displayed today. We kept our heads in the game all day."

The two wins extend SMCC's record to 6-0.  The team travels to Bridgton Academy on September 21 for a 4:00PM single game.
