Baseball Splits with UNH-club

Durham, NH. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team split their double header against the University of New Hampshire club baseball team. The Seawolves took game one with a score of 7-2.  UNH won the second game 6-4.

The Seawolves saw a lot of production from their first year players. Freshman Zach Horton (South Portland, ME) had a day at the plate going 5-7 in the two games.  In game one, freshman Devin Lyshon (Bangor, ME) led the way with a single and a 3-run homerun.

Dan French (Richmond, VT) threw a complete game in the 7-2 win, while recording 9 strikeouts.

The Seawolves move to 8-3-1 overall.  They return home for a double header tomorrow, September 30th against conference rival Central Maine Community College.  Game one is scheduled to start at 1:00 PM.
