Hampton, VA. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team dropped their spring season opener and first of a five game road trip to Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) by a score of 7-4.  

In the opener, junior Jeremy Gearty (Lebanon, ME) led the way for the Seawolves going 1-4 with a RBI homerun. Freshman Ethan Bilderback (Annapolis, MD) went 1-3 while scoring a run, freshman Brendan Reil (Berwick, ME) also contributed a run.  

SMCC drops to 11-6-1 overall and remains 3-1 in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC). The Seawolves will have a double header tomorrow against United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) opponent Apprentice College. Game times are scheduled for a 1:00pm and 3:00pm start.
