Seawolves Drop Third Game in a Row

South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team dropped their third game in a row tonight as they fell to St. Joe's of Maine (JV). The Seawolves started out in the hole down 2-0 but were able to recover scoring 2 runs to tie it up in the 5th. The Monks scored 5 runs in the 6th inning to take the 7-3 victory.

The Seawolves were led by freshman first baseman Zachary Horton (South Portland, ME) who went 2 for 3 with an RBI, a walk and scored a run. Sophomore right fielder Alex Brown (Weymouth, MA) went 2 for 4 and also scored 2 of the 3 runs. Pitcher Daniel French (Richmond, VT) got the loss.

With the loss tonight, it drops SMCC to 12-12-1 overall and they remain at 3-1 in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC). The Seawolves will have a few days off before hosting YSCC opponent Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) this Saturday April 6th for a double header. Games are scheduled for 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
