South Portland– Centerfielder Alex Brown (Weymouth, MA) bombed a homerun over the right field fence in the first inning of today's baseball action, driving in leftfielder Brendan Horton (South Portland, ME) and giving the Seawolves a 2-0 lead which would become a 6-1 victory over NHTI.

In inning two Adam Volkernick (Rumford, ME) and Ethan Bilderback (Annapolis, MD) were both on base when the duo executed a double steal, bringing Volkernick in for a score and advancing Bilderback to second base. Alex Brown then singled, batting in Bilderback and putting the Seawolves on top 4-0. NHTI held SMCC scoreless for two innings but in the fifth Alex Brown and Pat Emanuelson (Hudson, NH) both singled and scored. NHTI's Andy Johnson came up with two stolen bases and a run in the seventh inning but it wasn't enough to overcome the six run deficit.

Pitcher Dan French (Monkton, VT) had a solid performance for the Seawolves giving up only two hits and accumulating six strikeouts in seven innings.

With this win the Seawolves improve to 2-2 overall and 2-0 in YSCC play, while NHTI drops to 2-2 overall.
