Seawolves Down Dean

South Portland - The Seawolves picked up two wins today in double header action against NJCAA member Dean College. SMCC held Dean scoreless for the remainder of the game, coming away with the 2-0 victory.

Seawolves' lead off batter for game two, Jon Daniszewski (Laconia, NH) singled during his first at bat and then stole second to get himself in scoring position for when center fielder Alex Brown (Weymouth, MA) belted a double to bring him home. Brown would also score in the first inning, as would Horton to put the Seawolves up 3-0 after only one inning of play. The Bulldogs put up two in the third and one in the fifth to knot the game at three runs each. In the bottom of the fifth on full count Horton singled and became the go ahead run when first baseman Tim Andersen (Beverly, MA) batted him home.
