Seawolves Drop Opening Game of 302 Cup Series

Bridgton - Tonight the Seawolves kicked off the 302 Cup, a best of three games series, with a solo game against the Bridgton Academy Wolverines. Bridgton triumphed in the opener, 2-0, but the two teams will be back on the field tomorrow at noon at SMCC for game two.

In one of the finest pitching duels of the season, Seawolves pitcher Dylan Morrow (Hays, TX) pitched six innings giving up only five hits and one earned run while striking out five batters but Wolverines' pitcher edged Morrow's performance tossing a one hit shut out to earn the victory for Bridgton. The lone hit for the Seawolves came from catcher Owen Kimmel (New York, NY).

With this loss the Seawolves slip to 18-18 overall. They will resume the cup series tomorrow at 12pm with game three following immediately after if necessary.
