Wildcats Come From Behind to Take One From Seawolves

Durham, NH - Tonight the Seawolves headed south to battle YSCC member UNH-Club team. After leading for the majority of the contest the lead slipped away from SMCC in the sixth when the Wildcats scored on a RBI infield single and an error to take the lead by a lone run. The Wildcats proceeded to hold the Seawolves scoreless for the remainder of the game to come away with the 4-3 win.

The Seawolves jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the third inning due to an RBI single by shortstop Phillip Langley (Shawnee, OK), a sacrifice fly by centerfielder Alex Brown (Weymouth, MA) and an RBI single by second basemen Justin Ciszewski (Auburn, ME). SMCC held the 3-0 lead until the fifth when the Wildcats scored two runs on error and a steal of home, cutting the lead to one. The final push made in the sixth by the Wildcats proved to much for the Seawolves as they fell one run short, chalking up their first loss of the season. Pitcher Timothy Andersen (Beverly, MA) picked up the loss in relief.

Tonight the 2-1 Seawolves played their first of five consecutive away games in three days. Tomorrow they will be back on the field at NHTI for a double header at 12pm and 2pm.
