Wolverines Top Seawolves

Wolverines Top Seawolves

South Portland - This afternoon the Seawolves played in their final home game of the fall season against the Wolverines of Bridgton Academy. Despite gaining an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, a shaky fifth inning by the Seawolves allowed Bridgton to bring home two runs, taking a 2-1 lead and eventual win.

The Seawolves had opportunities to extend their lead early and get back in the game after they lost the lead but they left eight runners on base, including leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth. Cam Brochu (Manchester, ME) led the SMCC offense going 2-4 at the plate with a triple and a stolen base. Kyle Parmley (South Berwick, ME) was the leader on the mound, pitching the first four innings, allowing five hits and striking out four.

SMCC will wrap up the fall season with a double header at Dean College on Monday October 12th at 11 and 1pm.
