Seawolves Cruise Past Mustangs

South Portland - In yesterday's baseball action the Seawolves played host to YSCC foe Central Maine CC and used a dominant performance to take a 10-0 triumph.

The Mustangs were able to keep the Seawolves relatively quiet throughout the first three innings giving up only three runs; one from Joe Apon (Portland, ME) in the first and one from both Nate Boyle (Windham, ME) and Caleb Burpee (Kennebunk,ME) in the third.

Enjoying a three run advantage in the bottom of the fourth the Seawolves really came to life offensively starting with a Kyle Reichert (Portland, ME) single. The Seawolves got back to back doubles from Apon and Burpee to help pour on five runs and extend the SM lead to 8-0.  Boyle chalked up an RBI single in the fifth and sophomore outfielder Jordan Hachey ended the game with an RBI single in the seventh that put the Seawolves up 10.

Caleb Chambers (Lebanon, ME) had a noteworthy performance on the mound, pitching five innings, striking out seven batters and only giving up three hits.

With this win the Seawolves improve to 12-19 overall and 6-6 in the YSCC. Their next outing will be on Friday the 27th against NHTI at 4pm.
