Baseball Defeats Bridgton In Exhibition

NORTH BRIDGTON, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team defeated the Wolverines of Bridgton Academy 5-2 in a seven-inning exhibition game on Thursday, Sept. 28.

The SeaWolves improved on their 3-12-1 record against the Wolverines spanning the previous five seasons, in a true team effort utilizing six pitchers and finding contributors throughout the lineup to total 10 hits.

The SeaWolves remain 7-3 overall and take the diamond again on Saturday, Sept. 30 when they play host to Great Bay Community College in their YSCC regular season finale. The doubleheader is scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Follow the action LIVE.
