Seawolves dominate in win at Bridgton

BRIDGTON, Maine—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) baseball team picked up its third consecutive win, defeating the Wolverines of Bridgton Academy 15-5 on Tuesday, Apr. 9.

The Seawolves displayed a strong offensive showing, scoring runs in multiple innings and tallying 15 total hits. First-year outfielder Adam Rowland (Alberta, Canada) had himself a career day with five RBIs and first-year Quinn Dillon (Gorham, Maine) recorded two RBIs of his own. Rookie Brady O'Lone (Fort Myers, Fl.) launched his first home run of the season to go along with two hits and a walk.

SMCC starter Thomas Knott (Winterport, Maine) earned the win allowing just one run over three innings of work.

The result moves SMCC to 14-7 overall.

The Seawolves begin Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) scheduling on Wednesday, Apr. 10 when they host the Mustangs from Central Maine Community College (CMCC) in a 9-inning affair. First-pitch in South Portland is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
