SOUTH PORTLAND, ME – The Southern Maine Community College men’s basketball team lost a heart breaker to the #1 YSCC seeded Vermont Technical College (VTC) 88-83. The Seawolves drop to 5-3 in YSCC play and 11-10 overall.
Notched at 44 at the half, the Seawolves were in for a tough physical battle in the second to knock off the Knights of VTC. The Seawolves came up short, but not without a valiant effort. Leading the way for the Seawolves was senior post player Coleman Findlay with 24 points (11-15 FG).
The Knights of VTC were led by Kevin Carr who scored and impressive 38 points (13-23 FG).
The SMCC men’s team will host Lakes Region Community College on Tuesday, January 25th at 7:00pm.
