Seawolves Lose Nail-biter to Berkeley College in Final Day of USCAA Tip-off Classic

The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team (overall 2-2, YSCC 0-0) lost a close battle to Berkeley College (NJ) this afternoon 69-64 in day two of the USCAA Tip-off Classic.  The Seawolves fought hard and were within a basket of the lead up until the last minute of the game. However the Knights of Berkeley College would hit a big three pointer and clutch free throws to seal the victory.

The Seawolves were led by freshman Anderson Santana (South Boston, MA)with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, MA) contributed 13 points on five of eight shooting, and junior guard Dan Foster (South Portland, ME) chipped in 10 points. 

SMCC moves to 2-2 overall and look forward to starting the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) schedule. The Seawolves open conference play on Saturday, November 12th when they host Eastern Maine Community College.  Game time is slated for 2:00pm.
