SMCC Men’s Basketball Starts Season 2-0

Auburn, ME.  The Seawolves of Southern Maine Community College Men's Basketball team picked up their second win of the season in easy fashion when they beat Dalhousie University 93-46 at the 18th Annual CAN AM tournament hosted at Central Maine Community College.

SMCC broke open a 19-10 game at the 13 minute mark in the first half with a 10-0 run fueled by sophomore Nate Dow (Swartz Creek, MI) who chipped in five points during that run.  Dow finished with a game high 15 points and 5 rebounds. Sophomore Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) scored 10 points and 5 assists while freshman Alexander Hartford (Naples, ME) had 10 points and 7 rebounds.

The Seawolves (2-0 overall, 0-0 YSCC) led 48-27 at the half.  They finished shooting 48% from the floor for the game.  Craig Perry led the way for Dalhousie University with 12 points.

SMCC will take the floor again on Thursday, November 1 in their home opener against Yankee Small College Conference foe Unity College at 8pm in the Hutchinson Union Building Athletic Center.
