Men's Basketball Takes First Conference From Unity College

South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team earned their first conference win with a 89-61 victory over Unity College. The Seawolves outscored the Rams 48-32 in the second half to secure the win.

The Seawolves offense was led by freshman guard Jon Amabile (Portland, ME) who had a game high 15 points, while freshman Tyheem Simon (Queens, NY) and sophomore Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) each chipped in 12 and 11 respectively. Sophomore Nate Dow (Swartz Creek, MI) controlled the boards collecting 8 rebounds along with 8 points.

SMCC (3-0 overall, 1-0 YSCC) is in action again this weekend when they host Berkeley College (NJ) and Naval Academy Preparatory School in the SMCC Tip Off Tournament Saturday and Sunday, November 3rd and 4th. Both games will be played at 6:00 PM.
