Presque Isle, ME. The Southern Maine Community College men's basketball team lost a close battle to University of Maine Presque Isle (UMPI). The Seawolves outscored UMPI 43-39 in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome the 9 point halftime deficit.
Sophomore point guard Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) led the Seawolves with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Freshman guard Mike Harmon (Portland, ME) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 steals.
SMCC moves to 9-2 overall and remains 5-0 in conference play. They take the floor again this Saturday December 1st as the Knights of Vermont Technical College (VTC) come to town. Game time is scheduled for 3:00PM.
