South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team continues on a roll this week as they beat Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC) 86-62. They pick up another tough Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) win by starting out shooting almost 57% from the floor. They led at half time by a score of 47-27.
The Seawolves had a team effort today as 11 out of the 13 players scored. SMCC was led by sophomore guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) who went 10-14 from the floor with 24 points. Freshman guard Tyheem Simon (Queens, NY) came off the bench to have a double double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman guard Jon Amabile (Portland, ME) also had 12 points and added 5 rebounds.
SMCC improves to 11-3 overall and 8-1 in conference play. Thier next game is scheduled for Wednesday December 12th as they travel to conference opponent University of Maine Augusta (UMA). Game time is scheduled for 8:00PM.
