Augusta, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team beat Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent University Maine of Augusta (UMA) 81-77. It was close throughout with the Seawolves down 36-32 at half time. With the Seawolves up 1 with under a minute left in the game, Nouchanthavong hit 2 free throws to put them up 3. Simon sealed the deal with 7 seconds left by hitting a free throw to put them up 4.

The Seawolves were lead by sophomore point guard Jose Nouchanthavong(Westbrook, ME) who had 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Freshman guard Jon Amabile (Portland, ME) chipped in with 12 points 5 rebounds and 3 steals. 

SMCC improves to 12-3 overall and 9-1 in conference play. The Seawolves will close out the semester this Saturday, December 15th, as they travel to YSCC opponent Univeristy Maine of Machais (UMM). Game time is scheduled for 4:00PM.
