Seawolves Open up the Spring Semester with a Win

South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team won it's first game of the spring semester beating John Abbott College (JAC) by a score of 78-70. It was close throughout with the Seawolves up 38-31 at half time. The Seawolves were able to hold on a come away with a win as Chance Baldino (Biddeford, ME) went 4-5 from behind the 3 point line in the second half. 

The Seawolves had a total team effort as 10 of the 11 players scored. Leading the pack was sophomore guard Chance Baldino (Biddeford, ME) who had 15 points, 3 rebounds and an assist. Coming off the bench was sophomore forward Nate Dow (Swartz Creek, MI) who had 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals.Sophomore guard Emmanuel Donalson(East Orange, NJ) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds while sophomore point guard Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) added in 11 points, 12 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

SMCC starts off the semester with a win improving to 14-3 overall and remaining 10-1 in conference play. The Seawolves will travel to Nashua College this Thursday January 10th. Game time is scheduled for 8:00PM.
