Seawolves Drop Game to YSCC Rival NHTI

South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team received their first loss of the semester to Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) rival New Hampshire Technical Institute (NHTI) by a score of 78-65. Even though the Seawolves were down 40-29 at half, they kept on fighting. The Seawolves made a run late cutting it to 56-55 with 5 minutes left but it wasn't enough to over come the deficit.

The Seawolves were led by sophomore guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) who shot 50% from the floor with 21 points. Freshman guard Jon Amabile (Portland, ME) came off the bench with 16 points while sophomore forward Nate Dow (Swartz Creek, MI) added 7 points and 5 rebounds.

SMCC drops to 16-4 overall and remain 10-1 in conference play. The Seawolves will be back in action this Saturday January 19th as they travel to Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Vermont Technical College (VTC). Game time is scheduled for 3:00PM.
