Seawolves Drop Game at Vermont Tech

Randolph Center, VT. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team dropped their second straight game to to Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent, the Knights of Vermont Technical College (VTC) by a score of 77-70. The Seawolves were down 1 at half time with the score 33-32 but the Knights out scored the Seawolves 44-38 in the second half to extend their lead.

Freshman Guard Jon Amabile (Portland, ME) came off the bench to lead the Seawolves in a losing effort with 23 points on 8-11 shooting including 4-5 from behind the arc. Sophomore guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) had 15 points and 6 rebounds while sophomores Nate Dow (Swartz Creek, MI) and Chance Baldino (Biddeford, ME) each added 9 points.

SMCC drops to 16-5 overall and remains 10-1 in conference play. The Seawolves will be back in action this Wednesday January 23rd as they travel to take on Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Eastern Maine Community College (EMCC). Game time is scheduled for 8:00PM.
