South Portland, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team lost a close battle today against Dean College. It was close throughout as the Seawolves were up at half by a score of 29-26. The Bulldogs out scored SMCC 43-31 in the second half to get the 69-60 victory.

The Seawolves were led in a losing effort by sophomore guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) who had 23 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Sophomore forward Nate Dow (Swartz Creek, MI) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds while  freshman forward Alexander Hartford (Naples, ME) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals.

SMCC drops to 16-7 overall and remains 10-2 in conference play. The Seawolves will be back in action this Wednesday January 30th as they travel to Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Unity College. Game is scheduled for an 8:00PM start.
