Seawolves Earn 2nd Conference Win in 2 Nights

Unity, ME. The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team traveled to Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent Unity College for a 2nd conference win in two nights. The Seawolves were up at half by a score of 43-25 and were able to out score the Rams in the second half to secure the 85-62 win.

The Seawolves had a balanced offensive attack as they shot better then 51% from the floor with all 9 players scoring. The offense was led by sophomore guard Emmanuel Donalson (East Orange, NJ) who had 20 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the field along with 5 for 5 from the foul line. Sophomore point guard Jose Nouchanthavong (Westbrook, ME) added 17 points on 7-12 shooting along with 6 assists and 3 rebounds while sophomore guard Chance Baldino (Biddeford, ME) chipped in 16 points including 4-6 from behind the 3 point arc.

SMCC improves to 18-7 overall and 11-2 in conference play. The Seawolves will be back in action this Saturday February 2nd as they host Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) opponent University of Maine Machias. Game is scheduled for a 4:00PM start.
