Strong Second Half Sends Seawolves Past Hampshire

Amherst, MA - Clinging to just a five point advantage, 32-27, at halftime, the Seawolves outscored the Black Sheep of Hampshire College 58-17 in the second half to come away with a 90-44 victory in yesterday's YSCC basketball action.

Seawolves' center Carlos Gonzalez (Lewiston, ME) kept his team afloat in the first half, scoring 11 of his 13 points in the first 20 minutes of play. In second half action the Seawolves' backup center Jack Tolan (South Portland, ME) and forward Tyheem Simon (Queens, NY) led SMCC's offensive charge combining for 24 of the Seawolves 58 second half points. Atencio Martin (Kittery, ME) also put up double digit scoring, netting 11.

The Seawolves (7-1 overall, 3-0 YSCC) will play their third consecutive road game on Tuesday at UMaine-Augusta at 8pm.
