Seawolves Start Second Semester with a Win

Holyoke, MA - Seawolves point guard Jordan DeRosby (Waterville, ME) netted a team high 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists to lead SMCC to a 77-60 triumph over Holyoke Community College in last night's basketball action. 

The Seawolves looked to make the extra pass all night, racking up 24 assists on 32 made field goals while shooting 44% from the field and putting 10 players in the scorebook.  DeRosby led the way with his 18 points while shooting guard Grayson Waterman (Berwick, ME) and transfer Matt Talbot (Portland, ME), who played in his first game in a Seawolves' uniform yesterday, each pitched in 12. Waterman also added 11 rebounds to chalk up his second double-double of the season. Freshman Matthew Jarrett (Norwalk, CT) provided SM with a boost off the bench, netting 4-7 from the floor for eight points. 

With this victory the Seawolves improve to 6-12 and will face the 2015 YSCC champions, College of St. Joseph's (VT), on Saturday. The Seawolves will travel to Vermont for a 4pm game.
