CLINTON COUNTY, N.Y.—The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season at Clinton Community College (NJCAA) in non-conference action on Sunday, Nov. 19.

Head Coach Matt Richards commented, "It's always important to challenge yourself early in the season and go play a tough opponent to see where you're at—and we did that today. Clinton is extremely talented and we got down early. I'm really proud of how we fought back in the second half to give ourselves a chance to win in the final three minutes. Unfortunately, a few costly turnovers and missed free throws really hurt us."

SMCC takes its first blemish at 5-1 overall, and remains 1-0 in conference play.

The Seawolves are back in action on Sunday, Nov. 26 when they travel to the University of Maine at Farmington (NCAA Div. 3) to take on the Beavers at 2:00 p.m.
