Seawolves Lose Semifinal Contest in Penalty Kicks

Concord, NH - This afternoon the Seawolves participated in their hardest fought battle of the season in the YSCC semifinal game against NHTI. The game was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and went through two over time periods and a series of penalty kicks without being able to determine a winner. After regular penalty kicks the game entered head to head penalty kicks where NHTI prevailed, knocking the Seawolves out of the playoffs. 

Just four minutes into the game the Lynx got themselves on the scoreboard thanks to a goal by Kyle Haas but the Seawolves battled back and right before the half Seawolves' midfielder Douglas Cloutier (Berwick, ME) notched a solo goal to tie the game at one apiece. In the first round of penalty kicks each team made three of the five, made pk's by the Seawolves came from Steve Rwendeye (Kigali, Riwanda), Sean Jackson (Berwick, ME) and Brandon Ford (Lebanon, ME). 

The Seawolves finish the 2015 season 7-5-2. For their efforts this season the Seawolves were honored with three all-conference selections; Jackson, Cloutier and defender Hughes Bakunda(Burundi). And coach Brian Dougher was named YSCC East Coach of the Year.
