Lady Seawolves Down Unity

South Portland - In the Lady Seawolves' second YSCC contest of the season, they used defensive pressure and a wide array of offensive contributors to overcome the Lady Rams of Unity College 93-51. 

Amira Jones (Chicopee, MA) led the Lady Seawolves on offense, scoring a game high 19 points while teammate Jaimi Poland (Skowhegan, ME) added 14 points on 6-8 shooting from the floor and 2-2 from the charity stripe.  Shooting guard Kendra Kagiliery (Kittery, ME) went 4-5 from downtown to pitch in 12 points and center Jennifer Genthner (Newcastle, ME) chipped in with 12 points of her own. Point guard Tiana Burton (Brunswick, ME) netted 11 to round out the Lady Seawolves double figure scoring. SMCC shot an impressive 17-19 from the free throw line.

The Seawolves improved their overall record to 4-3 and conference record to 2-0 after tonight's game. They will be back in action on Saturday at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA at 3pm.
