Julianna Lafrenaye begins her second season as an Assistant Coach to the women's basketball program. Lafrenaye's primary responsibilities include recruitment and player development on and off the floor.
Lafrenaye is a 2020 graduate of SMCC and three-year contributor to the women’s basketball program under Coach Stannard. Lafrenaye served as a two-year captain and made two United States Collegiate Athletic Association national tournament appearances. She took on guard duties and was a part of the 2019 team that matched a program-best 24 wins.
Previous to joining the Seawolves’ staff, Lafrenaye served as the Head Coach of the First Year girl’s basketball team at Portland High School, and as an assistant to the Junior Varsity and Varsity programs.
Lafrenaye earned her associate’s degree in Liberal Studies and went on to attend the University of Southern Maine where she is working toward her bachelor’s degree in Humanities, with a minor in Coaching.
