Blanchard Shines at Husky Invitational

PORTLAND, Maine— Charlotte Blanchard (Dedham, Maine) and Delaney Blake (Bowling Green, Ohio) represented the women's golf team at the University of Southern Maine's Husky Invitational at Riverside Golf Course on Sunday, Sept. 22.

A full field of both men's and women's teams showed up for the invitational and the SMCC representatives did not disappoint. 

With two holes to play, tied for the lead, Blanchard hit her drive hole high in the fringe on the par 4, 17th hole. Blanchard buckled down to make the eagle putt on her way to securing the individual victory with an impressive 81. Blake was not far behind as she finished tied for 10th with a 97 on the day.

The Lady Seawolves look to keep things going on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Valhalla Golf and Recreation in Cumberland, Maine.
