Women’s Soccer Team Outruns Central Maine Community College

The SMCC women's soccer team earned their first conference victory with a 4-1 win over the Mustangs of Central Maine Community College.  Esther Palmieri (South Portland, ME) got the Seawolves on the scoreboard in the forty-second minute.  Central Maine followed that with a goal right before the half to tie the game 1-1. The Mustangs couldn't keep up with the Seawolves in the second half. Cady Gagnon (Biddeford, ME) and Bethany Gullbrand (Portland, ME) scored two goals and one goal respectively and  Noelle Cooper (Scarborough, ME) contributed two assists to help seal the victory for the Seawolves.

Freshman sweeper Ali Waterman (Cumberland, ME) displayed a strong performance on the defensive end.  Head Coach Adam Perron praised her efforts stating "Nothing gets past Ali, she's done a great job the last two games anchoring our defense."

The Seawolves are in action at home this Saturday against NHTI.  Game time is slated for noon.
