Lady Seawolves Fall to Dean in Season Debut

South Portland, ME - Lady Seawolves' freshman goalkeeper Aime Worcester (Naples, ME) made her debut between the posts in this afternoon's contest against the Lady Bulldogs of Dean College. Worcester had 12 saves for the game, allowing only two goals in 90 minutes of play but the Lady Seawolves could not manage to generate any offense for the contest, falling to Dean 2-0. Freshman forward Katy Cyr (Chicopee, MA) led the squad in offensive shot attempts getting up four shots, including two shots on goal.

The Seawolves' defense held Dean scoreless until the 36th minute when Alyssa Klotzbeecher scored on an assist from midfielder Hope Crawley to put the Lady Bulldogs on top 1-0. The Bulldogs held the one score advantage for the majority of the game, until Midfielder Rachel Mauricio chipped in a shot with 00:44 remaining in the contest to give the Lady Bulldogs the 2-0 victory.

The Lady Seawolves are now 0-1-0 overall and 0-0-0 in conference play. They will be back in action on September 5th at home against Vermont Technical College at 2:30pm.
